Composer Tim Janis
has a gift for creating emotional melodies and for
crafting lush and soothing orchestral soundscapes that not only lift
fans, but manage to help others in need around the world!
Tim is driven to better his world through his music and music projects-
thus it is no wonder that he composes "Music with a Mission"!
Eight of Tim's CDs have been charted on Billboard. His CDs have sold
over one million copies. Janis has also created two National Public
Television Specials!

School Safe Zones It was the specific yet ambitious goals of the African School Safe Zones project that inspired Tim Janis. Initially, efforts are focused on ten model schools in or near Nairobi, Kenya, with each school determining its greatest basic needs: from teacher training, to school supplies, to a basic water system. Ultimately, with fundraising from within Kenya and the United States, the target is to prove that bettering primary education leads to a more promising future for Africa and its people! |
In January, 2005, Tim Janis teamed with Church World Service and committed to performing dozens of Safe School Zone benefit concerts over the next four years. Tim also created a new recording involving thousands of students from the ten model schools entitled "Children of the World". |

Other Humanitarian Efforts... Tim Janis' "Music with a Mission" has helped people in many ways: "A Thousand Summers" -- fighting HIV-AIDS in Africa in conjunction with Church World Service. "Music of Hope" -- fightng cancer on behalf of the American Cancer Society. Tim Janis supports the People's Princess Foundation and its efforts to raise money for children's charities. Tim also helps in Public Television pledge-drive fundraising efforts for Public Television stations across America. |
