The Africa Initiative
A Tradition of Help and a Legacy of Hope
The Africa Initiative is a far-reaching, intensive
focus on Africa, and on the critical role Africans must play in
identifying, designing, and implementing the programs and interventions
that will help Africa embrace the future.
Church World
Service is bringing together African church, government, business,
and civil society leaders to collectively and creatively explore the
most promising paths to a future where health, justice, and peace are
available to all.
The Africa Initiative focuses on children, people living with HIV/AIDS,
and the uprooted -- refugees, migrants, or internally displaced persons.
It seeks to address root causes of hunger and poverty, with specific
attention to the needs and rights of African women and girls.
The Africa Initiative is a commitment by Church World Service
to see each person as a child of God!
The Africa Initiative addresses five great concerns:
Today we can help.
Today we can join forces with others.
Today will make all the difference. |
